GGW had a post about a planned development at the Takoma Park Metro, and how four Maryland elected officials (the project is actually in DC) are asking WMATA to delay the process. As noted before, this project would sit on top of the preferred alignment one possible alignment, and beside the preferred alignment for the Metropolitan Branch Trail, but it doesn't appear to be included in the image from EYA. While Montgomery Council candidate Tom Hucker, gubernatorial candidate Heather Mizeur, state senator Jamie Raskin, Montgomery County Council Member Marc Elrich and delegate Sheila Hixson don't mention the trail in their letters; Montgomery County Council Member Hans Riemer does.
I believe that the project should focus on enhancing the walkability of the adjacent area
to encourage transit access and use. It should incorporate wide sidewalks and plenty of
space for bicycles and bike parking. The Metropolitan Branch Trail, and important piece
of infrastructure that I have worked hard to move forward at the County Council, must
also be included in the planning and construction.
The design does include a "bike station".
I thought C1 was the preferred alternative.

You're right. Actually it's C1 and/or C2 according to the draft EA (I can't find the final one).
