NPS and MCDOT are going to reroute 800 feet of the MacArthur Avenue Trail onto the Cabin John Trolley right of way near Glen Echo Park, part of which will go over an old trolley bridge over Minnehaha Creek. Work on that project is underway and here are some photos, via Brett of what that looks like. All photos below the fold.

Further down the ROW, PEPCO mows the grass where power lines run once every five years. That just recently happened.

Very cool that they are still able to use this bridge. I stumbled on it some years back and thought it was a shame it was rotting away disused.

As the photographer, BRett, I have checked out all 4 bridges that remain on the Glen Echo Trolley Path and, in my amateur opinion, the bridge across from the Sycamore store is in the best shape (Can't walk on it. Beams seems solid without being eaten away)
