Late last week, the Bowser administration filed paperwork with the D.C. Council to allocate surplus capital funds from fiscal year 2015. One of the projects that could get funding is the Kenilworth Parkside pedestrian bridge, linking the Kenilworth Parkside community with the Minnesota Avenue Metro station, which would get $7 million if Bowser's request is granted
Last December, that project had to be re-advertised because the bids came in too high. At that time, work was to begin summer 2015, but obviously, that didn't happen.
