1. The letter is dated 2014 on pages 2-6. I was having trouble getting the first page to download and so I was a bit confused, but I realized it was not a 2014 letter because of who the DDOT Director is. Still, amateur.
2. Despite the claim, I'm fairly confident that DDOT did take Convention Center traffic into account.
3. If bike lanes on 6th were "clearly unsupportable, unrealistic and problematic", then I suspect they would not be the preferred alternative.
4. I just want to point out at this time that UHOP has no reviews on yelp.
5. "Not all live within walking distance and must drive to services." Except that their is transit, biking and other parking beyond free-onstreet parking. The parking is useful, but not critical. Do people who arrive too late to get one of the on-street spaces just go home?
6. "virtually nowhere" to park on Sunday? I doubt it.
7. "there is another alternative that would simply entail altering.." Or do you mean "altaring"? Get it?
8. "any DDOT plan to eliminate all parking on 6th and M..." That's not the plan. I actually don't think any parking will be removed. It's just that the church won't be able to block an additional lane on Sundays.
9. "such that the bike tracks would follow 6th Street..." bike tracks? Oh good lord.
10. I like that they sent a copy of the letter to Rand Paul. Because getting the U.S. Senate involved will definitely improve things/He gives two flying flips about this.
Update: Left out one
11. "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And you Bartholomew, you are the ground on which the city will build free on-street parking next to my church; and none among the DOT shall regulate or limit you."
Anybody care to explain why the letter was hand delivered to former senator Mark Begich? He hasn't served in the Senate since January.
They are really serious since his office is in Anchorage: http://www.sonosky.com/attorneys-Mark-Begich.html

Channeling a bit of Monty Python there perhaps?
"And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, 'O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that, with it, Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits in Thy mercy.'"

This wacky "church" needs to stop bearing false witness.

RFRA cuts both ways, such as if my belief includes Sunday bicycle rides.

SJE:
You can start a church, state that as your belief, and become tax free. John Oliver had a good primer on that a while back.
