a better design for that "Traffic circle" and those diverters would be 45 degree angled or roll curbs to reduce the severity of any crashes into them.

Good to see the progress. I wonder of the "road width" segments are designed for service vehicles rather than regular (motorized vehicle) traffic, like the trail segment south of the East Cap bridge?

I was on a bus going over the river on NY Ave last week and could see that the supports for the causeway section south of the bridge are also in place.

I think that is it. There was a dirt road that clearly got SOME use prior to construction - though not so much that fallen trees were cleared. I suspect NPS would like the road paved so that they can....something.
