Arlington County will host a snow forum from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Francis Scott Key Elementary School 2300 Key Blvd. Arlington, VA 22201.
The public is invited to share their experiences during and after the blizzard with County Board Members, the County Manager and senior County staff, and to offer suggestions on how to improve our efforts to quickly recover from these large-scale events. The discussion also will examine the challenges of responding to short but potentially dangerous events such as the evening rush hour snow-and-ice event on Wednesday, January 20, that coated many County streets with a thin layer of ice and snarled traffic.
“We’re asking people to tell us about their experiences during and after Snowzilla, and to offer suggestions for how we can improve our efforts to quickly recover from snow and ice events,” said Arlington County Manager Mark Schwartz.
Before the event, or if you cannot attend, please take a few minutes to fill out our online Snow Survey. We plan to share the survey results at the forum and post them online afterward. The survey is open through February 19.
This is a great opportunity to talk about how bike facilities were handled.
