"Extend cycle track on 15th Street between Constitution Avenue and Maine Avenue in area between existing sidewalk and road/or move sidewalk to accommodate lane."

Why not accommodate the bike lane by removing the extra northbound lane from Maine Ave to Constitution and shifting everything one lane to the East? 15th St consists of 2 northbound lanes fed by a single lane of traffic from Maine Ave (see map link below). Not only is the 2nd NB lane unnecessary, it induces speeding and aggressive passing, making things even worse for everyone.

Uptowner, that's a good suggestion. NPS is padding their stats on this one I think. As I understand it, they're already pretty far along on the design, so it could be released very soon. Maybe that's what they have in mind.

Great write-up. Thanks, WashCycle!
