Were there any suggestions to add protected bike lanes instead of conventional bike lanes? That would prevent the curb extensions but cyclists would at least be safer from car doors. I wish protected bike lanes would become the standard.

That park/plaza rendering is so not satisfying. Not a single hang glider or a child holding a bunch of balloons.

Somewhere I saw a blog where someone made more realistic renderings with laundry hanging from balconies, a homeless guy sleeping in a doorway, a picked over abandoned bike, etc... Pretty funny.

Guess where people are going to double park.
