Yeah, it was a month ago, but I'm just now getting to it. Bicycle Space opened a new store (no, it's not the poor, original nomadic store hitchhiking to another location, looking for a refuge while Lonely Man plays in the background). It's the third location and it opened in early July at the Hecht Warehouse at Ivy City. When this blog started there were no bike shops in NE, and now there are at least four. Still nothing east of the river though.
Anyway, here's a press release I received
What: The Hecht Warehouse at Ivy City is pleased to announce the opening of BicycleSPACE in Northeast D.C. BicycleSPACE celebrated its grand opening on July 7, 2016 in Ivy City and is an award-winning bicycle shop that has been named “The #1 Bike Shop in America” by Momentum Magazine and voted “Best In DC” every year since 2012. This is the third location for the retailer and to celebrate the opening, BicycleSPACE will host free community events in Ivy City including “Bike To Brooklyn Training” and “Nice & Easy Rides.”
When: Bike To Brooklyn Training | Saturdays at 8:00 a.m.
Nice & Easy Rides | Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.
Where: 1512 Okie St NE, Washington, D.C. 20002
Cost: Free and open to the public

Thanks for posting this out, David. One note is that the Bike to Brooklyn ride is Sundays at 8AM, not on Saturdays: http://www.bicyclespacedc.com/bike-to-brooklyn-training. This is a great local cause and the ride is open to anyone whether they are participating in the fundraiser. Hope to see you soon!
