The 50 States Ride is the primary reason I keep renewing my WABA membership. Just an absolute blast, although every time I've done it there's been pouring rain for part of the afternoon. Very highly recommended!

DC needs a Guam Avenue, a Northern Mariana Islands Ave, a U.S. Virgin Islands Ave, an American Samoa Ave and a District of Columbia Ave (it already has a Puerto Rico Ave). That way the could update the colonies ride.

Well, there is a Columbia Road right next to where the ride starts and ends. I always make a point to ride on it, too.

Is Columbia road named for the district the way GW used to be Columbia College? Or is it named for America -as in District of Columbia? Or is it named for the Ivy League school (it is right next to Harvard after all)?
