The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) Public Space Regulation Division will launch a series of Bike Work Zone Training sessions. The trainings will be conducted in real-time traffic and will demonstrate how work zone bicycle traffic control plans increase safety for bicyclists.
The first sessions will be held Thursday, July 13, with a Friday, July 14, rain date. One training will demonstrate how to set up standard bike work zone traffic control plans for scheduled work in public space. A simultaneous training will demonstrate how to set up bike work zone traffic control plans for unscheduled emergency work in public space.

The trainings are highly recommended for construction managers and utility companies, but all are welcome to attend. Due to the overwhelming requests for this training, reservations are required.
