16th Street Bus lanes will allow bikes

During last week's 16th Street Bus Lane Design Phase public meeting they made it clear that, for now, they're planning to let bikes use the bus lane. So will taxis and emergency vehicles.

My impression is that taxis are a big bus impediment, at least around the hotels north and south of K. The driveways fill up and taxis hang out in the right lane. In fact, this is illustrated on the google street view.
